CBDMEDIC™ creams are water-based. Distilled water is blended with natural oils to make up a portion of the formulation in order to promote absorption. They are intended for areas of the body that may require frequent use, like the hands or feet.
CBDMEDIC™ ointments are made with oils from nature and organic waxes, specifically chosen to enable penetration into muscles and joints.
Bottom Line: The pain-relieving effects of our ointments generally last longer than creams, since water evaporates. However, the scent evaporates sooner in creams.
A topical cream or ointment is a localized method of administration designed to target the affected area of the body by penetrating the top layers of the skin quick delivery. CBDMEDIC™’s products are not transdermal, meaning they do not enter the bloodstream. This means that they are unlikely to interact negatively with other medications.
On the other hand, systemic oral oils and tinctures are absorbed through the mucus membranes and enter the bloodstream. Moreover, they have an increased time to delivery, since it takes time to work through the body. Simply squeeze or pump the cream or ointment into the palm of your hands and gently massage the cream or ointment with your fingertips into the skin for 30 seconds.
Pain Stick
Remove the lid from pain stick and rub a small amount on the product on the problematic area like you would apply a deodorant.
How much product should I use?
In general, you will want to use approximately 1-1.5 grams per application, about a dime-sized to half-dollar sized amount for small regions of the body. We recommend that you use our products 3-4 times a day until the pain subsides.
CBDMEDIC™’s topical products are delivered directly to the area of discomfort or skin issue, and do not enter the bloodstream. The company has not received any documented reports of adverse interaction between its products and oral medications.
